A sizeable and very enthusiastic crowd had gathered to watch this entertaining, well contested, high-scoring game, which Dungannon won 40-0 and which featured quite a few talented players on both teams.
The game was well refereed by Alana Kerr, from the USRFR for which the Nutty Krust organising committee is grateful.
The Dungannon team controlled the game from the outset and took an early 7-0 lead when Blake Redmond ran in for a try which was converted by James Gibson.
With Ronan Quinn displaying great game management skills, the Dungannon pack won a constant supply of quality possession which was used effectively by the attack.
Two more first half tries from James Gibson and Blake Redmond, both converted by Gibson, gave Dungannon a 21-0 lead at the break.
Omagh showed great commitment and spirit throughout the game with players such as Jake Hamilton, Jack Beacom, Euan Hamilton, Ewan Fegan and Sam Hampton working hard to stem the Dungannon attacks.
Despite their hard work, there was little they could do to prevent Spence Balajti, running in for one try and Blake Redmond running in for another two tries for Dungannon over the second half.
Two further James Gibson conversions secured the 40-0 win for Dungannon.
As usual with the Nutty Krust Tournament, the players all received a post-match meal which was sponsored by Hewitt Meats, prepared by the staff in Flat Dogs Gourmet Food Restaurant, and organised by Matthew Wickham. All the players, as well as their coaches, received a Nutty Krust loaf on departure.
Syd Rowe, a former member of the USRFR and a member of the NK Committee, presented the Nutty Krust Player of the Match Award at the post-match ceremony. This went to Dungannon fly-half Ronan Quinn.
