But first, Ulster need to get past a tough Edinburgh side who have a number of Scotland internationals in their side.

Mike Blair's side have endured a difficult league campaign and sit 12th, outside qualification for the play-offs or the Heineken Champions Cup positions.

The away side will be buoyed by their thumping home victory over the Ospreys in Round 17, as the Scottish side romped home to a 45-21 victory at DAM Health Stadium. It was the final home game for head coach Blair, who departs the club at the end of the season.

Last time out

Ulster came out the victors in a thrilling 10-16 victory at DAM Health Stadium and were the first side to defeat the Scots at their home to end their unbeaten record.

In a tight match Ulster's only try of the encounter was scored by winger Rob Baloucoune and the rest of the points were scored by scrum- half Nathan Doak who had his shooting boots on with four successful kicks through one conversion and three penalties. The defence also played a vital role as Ulster were shown two yellows to Nick Timoney and Alan O'Connor during the contest.

The win ended a three game losing streak for Ulster and boosted the province's play-off chances.

Player to watch

With a roster full of Scotland internationals such as the national team captain Jamie Ritchie, one of the stalwarts of the Scottish national side in Hamish Watson and scorer of one of the standout tries of the 2023 Guinness Six Nations in Duhan Van Der Merwe. But in terms of this seaosn, not many have been more influential than their explosive Scottish international winger, Darcy Graham, who leads many of their season's stats.

25 year-old Graham tops the club's charts for most tries with an impressive 11, 17 clean breaks, the most metres gained and most defenders beaten having sped past 31 opponents this season. Graham will no doubt be looking to finish off his impressive season with aplomb against Ulster. In Round 17 Graham was awarded the Player of the Match for his display after an exciting try-scoring performance.
