Biography
The former Ireland Sevens star joined Ulster Rugby in summer 2026 from Connacht Rugby.
Chay represented Ireland at the 2024 Olympic Games, playing in the same team as his now Ulster teammate Zac Ward.
At 24-years-old, Chay has shown plenty of promise in the early stages of his career, performing across the backline, with the speed and ball handling ability to play at full-back or wing.
The six foot three back from Bristol but is Irish-Qualified through family from Cavan and Meath.
Chay made his senior debut for Connacht against Zebre Parma in December 2024 and scored a hat- trick, showcasing his attacking ability.
His move to Ulster reunites him with Head Coach Richie Murphy, who he played under for Ireland U20s in their 2022 Grand Slam winning campaign.
