Biography
A rampaging number eight, Juarno Augustus impressed during his first season at Ulster following his move from Northampton Saints in 2025.
The South African forward is a powerful presence at the base of Ulster's pack and brings an extra edge of physicality in his carries.
Nicknamed 'Trokkie' (little truck) he is also a disruptive presence around the breakdown.
A standout at age-grade level in South Africa, he was named World Rugby Under-20 Player of the Year in 2017 after finishing as the tournament’s leading try-scorer.
He would play at senior level for the Stormers before moving to Northampton Saints, where in a four year spell he helped the club win the 2023/24 Premiership title and reach the 2025 Champions Cup final.
One of his standout moments in an Ulster jersey was a Player of the Match performance against Exeter Chiefs in the EPCR Challenge Cup Semi-Final, with the South African instrumental to Ulster reaching the Final.
