Biography
Ireland international forward, Cormac Izuchukwu, continues to progress his game with each season.
The 26-year-old is a modern, hybrid forward, with the unique athletic profile and ability to perform as a lock or a flanker.
At six feet seven inches, Izuchukwu is a key figure for Ulster around the lineout and is particularly fast for a player of his size.
Nicknamed 'Izzy', the County Offaly man has took a unique route through rugby, having came through the Ireland Sevens programme before joining the Ulster Rugby Academy in 2020.
He built playing experience playing for Ballynahinch RFC in the AIL.
Izzy would make his senior Ulster debut in 2021 and has now amassed over 50 appearances for the province.
His form for Ulster saw an Ireland call-up and debut cap against Fiji in November 2024.
In February 2026, Izzy made his Guinness Six Nations debut for Ireland against Italy at Aviva Stadium.
With experience of playing at top international level, Izzy will be aiming to perform for his province in 2026-27 and showcase his unique abilities.
