Biography
Zac Ward has made a successful transition from the Ireland Sevens programme to one of Ulster Rugby’s most exciting attacking players.
Last season Ward was Ulster's top try scorer across all comps, with 15 across the URC and EPCR Challenge Cup.
His engine, ball carrying and power are strong parts of his game, with the ability to break lines and get Ulster important territory.
A former back row player at Ballynahinch RFC, Ward represented Ireland Sevens at the Paris 2024 Olympics, scoring four tries as Ireland reached the Quarter-Finals.
He signed for Ulster on a trial period, and impressed enough to earn himself a deal.
Ward made his senior in the Investec Champions Cup in December 2024, playing against Bordeaux-Bègles.
Last season, he fulfilled a lifelong dream to represent his province alongside younger brother, Bryn.
In summer 2026, Zac was a member of the Ireland Nations Championship squad and continues to push for international selection.
